    How the structure generator works

    1. Pick your type of work

FYP or master's thesis, then your field of study: these are the only two required fields.

    2. Describe your project

Optionally add your topic, research question, hypotheses, target page count and any qualitative or quantitative survey.

    3. Get a detailed structure

Each chapter comes with its sub-sections, an estimated page count and its share of the total length.

    What your structure includes

    • A general introduction and a general conclusion, always included.
    • For an FYP: a 4 to 6 chapter structure adapted to your field.
    • For each survey you tick: a dedicated chapter (methodology, results, analysis).
    • The structure is written in the language of your answers.

For a master's thesis: 6 blocks in academic order

    1. Literature review
    2. Theoretical framework
    3. Methodology
    4. Results
    5. Discussion
    6. Recommendations

Tips to get the most out of your structure

    • Phrase your research question as a real question: the structure is built around the answer.
    • Write testable hypotheses: each one should be confirmed or refuted by your results.
    • Give the required page count: the split between chapters adapts to the length.
    • Treat the structure as a working draft and validate it with your supervisor.
